MEMBERSHIP

Works with Board and Staff Members to develop and implement membership recruitment and retention strategies

Works to assist introducing new members to organization

MARKETING/WEB DESIGN   
● Develop marketing schedule for the organization
● Work closely with Marketing consultants to develop new content for social media channels and marketing strategies and
  create frequent marketing posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
● Create E-blasts using online email marketing software apps

● Focuses on marketing functions that build event attendance, brand awareness, and generate revenue
● Design and maintain the organization’s website
● Create advertising and marketing collateral for digital and print publications


ONLINE PRESENTATIONS/PROGRAMS   
● Work with management to create educational online presentations
● Have an understanding of the subject matter and coordinate appropriate panelists and speakers

CONTRACT AND NEGOTIATION SKILLS  
● Negotiate contracts with service providers including contractors, online services, trade show services, and registration systems.

VOLUNTEERS AND SUPPORT PARTNER ORGANIZATIONS
● Be able to develop positive collaboration with organizations that support the nonprofit.
● Develop volunteer schedules for assistance during the annual conference
● Coordinate training for volunteers

 

CONFERENCE MANAGEMENT & EXHIBIT SALES

● Strong knowledge of all aspects of conference management
● Program development
● Seek and coordinate speakers; ability to maintain on-going communication
● Set up conference registration system, including issuance of certificates
● Maintain conference demographics
● Identify and specify all equipment needed in registration and in the classrooms
● Ability to create virtual and hybrid conference sessions
● Set up meeting rooms
● Development and administration of annual Hazardous Materials Track 
● Oversee the development of special events
● Organize and facilitate Committee meetings
● Create surveys


HOTEL AND EVENT MANAGEMENT
● Negotiate and understand all aspects of hotel contracts
● Maintain hotel master rooming list
● Specify Food/Beverage Banquet Orders
● Specify all equipment needed for conference and trade show
● Identify all safety and security issues

 

EXHIBITION MANAGEMENT 
● Have a strong understanding of all aspects of exhibition management; exhibit sales, exhibit floor management and design;
  sales and use taxation, and shipping/drayage
● Set up and maintain exhibitor accounting system
● Attend tradeshows to market the organization and develop new business
● Design exhibitor marketing materials, prospectus, contracts, and flyers
● Outreach for sponsorship development and exhibitor retention
